Stepping into mid-level leadership is one of the most demanding transitions in a law enforcement career. Mid-level leaders sit at the critical intersection between executive vision and frontline performance—and yet many newly promoted lieutenants, captains, and commanders enter the role without clear direction, relying on what they think the position requires based on past supervisors. This guesswork often leads to avoidable mistakes, inconsistent leadership, conflict, and stalled organizational momentum.

This course is a powerful three-day training experience built to eliminate that guesswork and provide mid-level leaders with the clarity, structure, and confidence they need to excel. This course goes far beyond traditional theory. It gives leaders the practical tools to execute the Chief’s or Director’s vision, manage complex operational expectations, supervise and develop their teams, and drive culture change across the agency.

Participants learn modern strategies in leadership, documentation, communication, accountability, budgeting, operational oversight, mission alignment, and strategic thinking—ensuring they understand exactly what the position demands and how to perform it at the highest level.

This program is ideal for newly promoted leaders preparing for the move into command, as well as seasoned supervisors seeking updated skills, professional development, and organizational alignment.

What some students are saying:

This course is by far the best training I have attended related to police management. The material presented by each of the instructors helped me realize the importance of enhancing my own management skills. This class is a must for both new and seasoned Police administrators.

Lt. John Sachau

After having attended this course, I had found that the level of knowledge and experience these instructors had to offer was well worth the investment. They guided us through our role and responsibilities as middle managers and stressed the importance of having the tools needed to accomplish our goals and objectives.
