Formerly “Command 1: Developing First-Line Supervisors”
Upcoming Courses
Course Times Each Day: 0830-1630
Course Description:
Stepping into supervision is one of the most critical transitions in any law enforcement career—and the success of a police organization depends on how well its first-line leaders perform. Command Series Level 1 is a dynamic, four-day leadership program specifically designed for upcoming leaders, newly promoted supervisors, corporals, officers-in-charge, and sergeants who are ready to elevate their impact on the agency and their teams.
This is not a “check-the-box” course. Built to meet state requirements and aligned with national accreditation standards, this training bridges the gap between leadership theory and practical, actionable skills needed on the street and in the station. Attendees will learn how to lead confidently on Day One, manage performance with clarity, communicate with purpose, document properly to protect themselves and the agency, and guide officers through today’s high-demand policing environment.
Whether preparing for promotion, stepping into a supervisory role for the first time, or refining the craft of leadership, attendees gain the tools, mindset, and confidence needed to drive professionalism, accountability, and organizational success.
For agencies requiring extended training, this program can be delivered as a 40-hour, 5-day certification course.
