Some agencies—especially in the Pacific Northwest—use Public Safety Testing (PST) for written promotional exams, leadership assessments, or combined testing services for ranks such as Sergeant and Lieutenant. PST exams may include job-knowledge questions, situational judgment, and supervisory decision-making aligned with an agency’s policies and expectations. At the J. Harris Academy of Police Training, we provide independent preparation to help officers perform confidently on PST-style promotional tests. We are not affiliated with Public Safety Testing.

We assist promotional testing candidates with:

  • Written promotional test preparation
  • Situational judgment and supervisory-decision exercises
  • Leadership and communication development
  • Structured oral and scenario practice (if used by the agency)

Because PST exams vary based on agency requirements, contact us for customized prep tailored to your specific test and reading list.
