Dealing with juvenile matters is one of the most challenging and taxing issues facing law enforcement professionals today. These matters have proven to provide unique challenges – that if not handled appropriately can open your agencies and staff to liability. This one-day, comprehensive course will provide officers with the tools to better handle, at risk youths, impact offenders and delinquent juveniles. This course will cover topics that include: the Juvenile Justice Commission, Title 2A, the Attorney General’s Guidelines, taking a juvenile into custody, Miranda issues, the Memorandum Between Schools and Law Enforcement, Handle with Care, and juvenile case law.
Pre-Requisites: Sworn Officer – This class is included if you are a J. Harris Promotional Student at no cost

- Credit Card Payments:
- After you enter ticket information, you will be transferred to the payment page where you can enter your credit card information and complete your registration. You will then be set for the course. You will receive your companion guide and J. Harris Police Training App access at class.
- Purchase Orders:

- Cancellations & Modifications: All cancellations must be received within 48-hours of the date of the program. Modifications or Officer swaps can be done at any time including the day of training. Failing to cancel prior to the 48-hour time frame will result in payment of 50% of the tuition cost.
