Course Description:

Drug use in our society and the investigation of criminal offenses related to narcotics are changing rapidly. It is essential that law enforcement operations adapt to these evolving demands.  This one-day program expands on the lessons learned from Narcotics Enforcement 101. The elements of a successful narcotics investigation from inception through prosecution will be presented. To be successful, narcotics enforcement officers at all levels must be well trained not only in the initial investigations but throughout the entire process which includes the successful prosecution of the offender.

The Instructor:

This course is presented by J. Harris Instructor, Captain Gary Webb. Gary is the Commander of an Intelligence and Narcotics Division. The division includes the Intelligence Unit, Narcotics Task Force, Cyber Crime Task Force, and Counter-Terrorism Unit. Prior to being the Captain/Commander of the Intelligence and Narcotics Division, he was the Lieutenant/Commander of the Cyber Crime Task Force. Prior to that, he was both a Sergeant and Detective in the Narcotics Strike Force. He has testified as an expert witness in the Superior Court of New Jersey more than 15 times for criminal trials and evidentiary hearings regarding both gang criminality and the possession of controlled dangerous substances with the intent to distribute.
